along the the signature line.
There might be a long list of numbers or short list.
In either case it's always a 3 digit number at the end of the line.

Why a Verification Number ?

This number is to protect you in the event that somebody stole your credit card number but not your actual credit card.
Without this number, we can not accept your credit card for payment.
