KOMAR WALL MURALS - Preparation & General Instructions |

Tools:
A razor blade cutter, a pair of scissors, a
bucket, paste brush, ruler, pencil
and a wallpaper smoothing brush. |
Instructions:
1. Prepare the wall:
The wall or door surface has to be prepared in
the same way as for ordinary wallpaper:
Rough areas have to be eliminated; the ground
should be plain, dry and free of dust,
oil-based paint or any previous wall covering.
2. Prepare the enclosed wallpaper paste:
Add entire bag of paste slowly to one quart of
water till the required texture is achieved.
In case additional paste is required any other
standard powder paste can be used. |

3.
Sizing the wall: Draw a horizontal line
equidistant from floor to ceiling to align the
panel later when mounted. |

4.
Lay out the design: Cut up to the rough size of
the wall |

5.
Apply the photomural:
Apply the glue carefully and uniformly taking
particular care to coat the edges.

Important: Allow the paste on all panels to
soak for 1 - 2 minutes and
do not lay the pasted sheets on top of each
other. Do not fold the pasted panel.

Apply within 2-3 minutes.

Do not over soak the paper in paste.

Continue applying pieces carefully; overlap
edges by approximately 1mm or as needed.
6. Wait 2 hours minimum to dry the photomural.
Finish off by trimming any excess using a straight
edge and sharp blade. |

Additional
Tips |

Small bubbles will disappear when the
photomural is dry.

Avoid any drafts and excessive heat. Work at
a room temperature of app. 65°-70°.

Check that the photomural is OK before
applying paste.

Remove all air bubbles by stroking them from
the centre outwards. Should the pasted panel
be wrongly positioned,
it has to be taken off very carefully and
reaffixed quickly.

Inspect mural for any visible defects before
installing. Our liability is limited to
replacement of any mural found to be
defective. No labor claims will be
allowed for the labor cost of installing
the murals.
